How To Measure Your Ring Size

You can measure your exact ring size using the information below. All you need is a ruler and a strip of paper about 1/4-inch wide and 3 or 4 inches long. Wrap the paper strip around your ring finger (make sure you leave room for the ring to pass over the knuckle). The easiest way to do this is to tape the leading edge of the paper strip to your knuckle. Wrap the strip around, and mark it or fold it over at the spot where it meets the leading edge. Now unwrap the strip and measure the distance to the mark with a ruler.

The exact measurement for each ring size is shown on the paper strips below.

Note: after you measure the strip, it is a good idea to cut it to the correct length and tape it together to make a paper "trial" ring. Try your paper ring on — if it is tight when it passes over the knuckle, you may want to order a size larger (the paper can stretch slightly to pass the knuckle, but a platinum ring will not stretch).
If you have an existing ring that fits, but you don't know the size, you can make a print of the chart below. Place your ring over the circles, and choose the size of the circle that best fit the inner edge of your actual ring.

Note: to assure that you have an actual size print, use a ruler against the inch guide below.  If it does not measure 6 inches on your print, then the circles will not be accurate for sizing. Try re-printing the page at a larger size (for example, 110%) until the inch guide below matches your ruler.
